Putting together this project has been a monumental task almost as complex and fascinating as the subject matter herself, Karla Stephens.

Since Karla's career has involved cooperation with so many people, and included work in China and Romania, as well as most recently in the Czech Republic, the construction of this website has involved an extensive amount of research that one person alone could not manage. I am grateful to all the subject matter experts, who have lent not only their collective memories, but also, their insight and expertise, in helping to capture the essential importance of what Karla has accomplished, while ensuring the thorough and multi-faceted portrait presented in this site. They are, in alphabetical order:

Andrea Durchankova - Vodafone CZ
Aneta Bogdan - Brandient Romania
Brenda Andrachuk - consultant
Eva Ciobotaru - Vodafone Romania
James Lambert - Vodafone CZ
James Jackson - retired from CONNEX Romania
Jean Brozny - Vodafone CZ
John Ketchum - Filminute Romania
Michael Gisondi - Vodafone CZ
Radka Cikanova - Vodafone CZ
Stephen Blanchette - Vodafone CZ
Stephanie Jackson - Vodafone Romania

These people are among the many who know Karla well, have worked closely with her, and have grown alongside Karla, not just in their careers, but in their lives as well -- while all along, collectively contributing to the brand that helps define KDS.

Special recognition goes to Dave Meneghello (currently CMO of Telenor Serbia) for his astute and perceptive project management support and personal encouragement, always performed with a smile.

Working alongside, as my collaborators, and experts in their own fields, have been Josh and Michael of Symblaze, as well as Vodafone direct marketing specialist Jessica Weis, and screenwriter Pavel Jech from FAMU University of Prague. All have been a pleasure to work with, and have provided many creative impulses to this project.

Finally, on a personal note, I would like to add that -- like so many other initiatives that I have pursued on Karla’s behalf -- this project has contributed tremendously to my personal development and evolution. In compiling this project, I have had the opportunity to contact people I haven’t seen in years, get to know others from the organization I have been working for the last 5 years but never have had a chance to meet, and to reexamine the last ten years of my life from an entirely new perspective.
All of my information gathering and meetings, as well as working on analysis and synthesis, has allowed me to also take a look at the last ten years of my own professional life. And I have to say, that upon evaluating the sum total of working for Karla (for the last decade), I wouldn't change a thing. It's been a wonderful and unforgettable journey.
