Following an intense race to launch first and secure Bucharest and corporate market segments, CONNEX launches mobile service on April 15th, 1997, setting a world record of 135 days as the fastest greenfield launch of a wireless network. |

With no existing GSM specialists in Romania, expatriates from around the globe team up with highly educated Romanians who are enthusiastic, eager for training and brimming with positive attitude. By commercial launch, the company has around 700 committed employees. |
